Mps Ssegirinya Muhammed (Kawempe North MP) and Ssewanyana Allan( Makindye west MP) charged with multiple accounts on; terrorism, attempted murder and Murder in the Masaka massacre.

Ssalongo Erias Lukwago their lawyer as informed by Kireka police today , left his home early for a scheduled questioning procedure due 8am.

To his surprise, on reaching the station, the defendants had been taken to Masaka court where they were to be   slapped by government today with other multiple charges.

From January to August, multiple killings happened in the greater Masaka region and other parts of the country leaving at least 26 dead.

These two opposition MPs have been on remand following these accusations.

On charges of terrorism, They are also accused of killing three people and attempting to murder another in the Greater Masaka Sub-region.

Today as they appeared before the Masaka court, they were seen limping as indicating trouble with their movement.

Once convicted of murder and terrorism charges, the MPs unfortunately stand maximum punishment of death by hanging.
