Former Bushenyi -Ishaka Municipality MP , Gordon Arinda died on Sunday in Mbarara Regional Hospital, the cause of death is COVID-19. The former MP fell sick during the Christmas season which caused his admission later on , on Friday 7th, in the Intensive Care Unit in the same hospital.

Mary Karooro Okurut , former general duties minister confirmed the death of Gordon Arinda , a former MP that served in the 10th parliament before he retired politics.

Gordon Arinda has also served as ; a researcher for Makerere University, Ass. Chief Administrative Officer in charge of Ruhinda county, and Town clerk Kashenshoro.

He thereafter joined active politics in 2016 and became MP, lost in the NRM primaries is 2020 and left politics.
