Macky Sall, Senegal’s president has declared Tuesday a public holiday after a beautiful victory by the country’s national team-the Lions at AFCON finals over Egypt of Sunday.

The president declared a public holiday to celebrate the national team’s first ever AFCON victory. The lions to be celebrated by Macky Sall at the presidential palace in Dakar triumphed over Egypt at a penalty shootout , 4:2 after a goalless match even with extra time.

The Africa Cup Of Nations Champions -Senegal were declared winners on Sunday finals in Cameron after Sadio Mane scored a  winning penalty.

Sadio Mane was voted tournament’s best player. After missing  a penalty, Sadio redeemed himself by scoring another to seal the win over Egypt.
