Russia’s claim that it is moving its troops from Ukraine’s boarder is false  according to the white house official. It is believed that more 7000 Russian troops have arrived recently on top of the already existing 15000 troops at the boarder.

Russia however says they are moving troops and equipment away from Ukraine boarder. Moscow’s claim is that they will be completely gone as soon as the military exercises come to completion.

Western officials do not believe the Russian claims and believe they could launch a false pretext to invade Ukraine at any time.

In defense, the Russian government has published  images of equipment being moved back to their permanent base.
