The previously suspended Uganda airlines’ – Cornwell Muleya has finally been terminated after the accusations were found to be substantial.
The former CEO of Uganda Airlines was put under suspension by Works and Transport minister- Gen. Edward Katumba Wamala as directed by President Museveni.
The suspension of the CEO and 12 others on 21 April 2021 was to pave way for investigations following allegations of financial mismanagement, nepotism in staff recruitment and collusion.
During the 9 months suspension, all those on suspension continued getting full salary.
Bageya – permanent secretary for Works and Transport informed the press that they are almost done with the their investigations, however, that the IGG has picked interest in the case makes things different in many ways.
Bageya also informed the public that the decision to terminate the CEO was made by an interim board on Friday.
