A 90 year old woman identified by police as Nanfuka Gertrude burnt to death in her residence in Kanyogoga-Kawanda central zone Nabweru division in wakiso district, on Tuesday.

Suspected arsonists are said to have attacked at 9pm Tuesday night according to police.

Gertrude’s grand daughter also called Nanfuka who had slept in a different room on waking up slipped out and cried out for help.

At the arrival of police, Nanfuka had burnt to ashes -beyond recognition.

The police are still running investigations to have a conclusive report to act on.
