Gulu Central High School students riot over denied broadcast of the Manchester United, Man City game. The school turned rowdy when the school administration refused to show the students the match but instead suggested they go for preps(evening classes) at match time.

Police responded with tear gas in vain before calling the army for help. It is reported by eye witnesses that the response was with live bullets causing the death of one student and several others injured.

The deceased has been identified as Gabriel Rwotomiya , a senior 3 student. Gabriel is said to have been shot while on a tree trying to escape school.

The Manchester derby ended ; Man City 4-1 Manchester United.
