Uganda registers two more Covid-19 deaths

The two fatalities include a 27-year-old male from Kyangwali refugee Settlement who died at Hoima regional referral hospital. The 46-year-old male was a resident of Kampala who died at Nsambya hospital in Kampala.

Uganda has registered two more COVID-19 deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to nine.

On July 23, the ministry confirmed the country’s first COVID-19-related death with the second one being confirmed three days later.

Uganda was one of the few countries in the continent which had not yet recorded a death from COVID-19 by mid-July, according to the Africa CDC.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has also confirmed fourteen (14) new cases of Covid-19 from tests done on 09 August 2020

Uganda’s total cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans is 1,297.

Uganda registered one death today, bringing the total COVID-19 deaths to nine (9).

Cumulative COVID-19 recoveries: 1,137.
