Cody Gapko and Davy Klaassan goals gave Netherland victory against Senegal at the last minute lap at the Al Thumama Stadium. Ecuador also beat hosts Qatar 2:0 in the other group A match at the opening night of World Cup 2022.

After a beautiful cross from Frenkie de Jong, Gapko’s perfect timing earned Netherland their first goal against Senegal and Davy intensified the win with an injury time goal closing the game at 0:2.
