Fighting between the ADF rebels and the UPDF army is on going in Ntoroko district after a sect of the rebels crossed from DR. Congo to Uganda in the night. The estimated number is 20-30 rebels.

Gen. Felix Kulayigye – the UPDF army’s spokesperson has reported that; “Our intelligence got wind of them and were intercepted. A fight is on to decisively deal with the group. 11 of them have been put out of action. More details will be availed.” – He said on twitter

The ADF rebels attacked the villages of; Kayanja, Kyaapa in Bweramule sub-county and Kayeera in Kibuuka subcounty in Ntoroko district on Tuesday morning.

Investigations are ongoing to ascertain if any civilians have been injured, added Police spokesperson- Gen. Felix Kulayigye.
