A fire has completely consumed the property of the pupils in St. Regina Nursery and Primary School in Kikuube Town Council, Kikuube District on Monday Afternoon. The property includes; mattresses, books and cloths

The incident happened at 12:00 noon while all students and teachers were in class having lessons. The pupils and teachers report that before the fire came a blast.

The teachers reached out to the police fire and rescue team which Hakiza Julius- The Albertine region police spokesperson reports to have acted swiftly. There were therefore no casualties in the incident.

Preliminary findings by police show that a short circuit triggered the fire. Investigations into the case are however on going. LCV vice chairperson, Mr. Opio Vincent Alpha asked the parents to stay calm after the school was flooded by parents after the news spread to the community.
