“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” are the words of a great psalmist and King-David in Psalm 133:1 and how true that statement is. Dwelling in Unity indeed is like oil poured on the head, the ladies that gathered at Full Gospel Church for a three day conference would better tell this story.

The Ladies’ Conference at Makerere Full Gospel Church is an annual meeting designed for women ages 18 and above for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work just like Paul reminds Timothy in 2nd Timothy 3:16.

The Conference gathers women from all around Uganda and all regions around the country bringing many women under one roof for a fresh boast in this season especially for a group of people like women involved very primarily with the nation’s growth, starting with themselves and families.

Press On is this year’s theme, extracted from the book of Philippians 3:13 – A call to all women of all ages, statuses and purpose to keep holding the plough as they await for the reward of their Lord in every good work they do.

The conference kicked off on 11th September and will go to 13th, September 2023(3 days). Day one gathered 361 women. These numbers have grown even bigger on day two to about 600 women by 1pm.

It is truly an exciting sight to see women in seasons testing as these, leave every thing to rest and choose to take care of their inner man in a special way. Many women with a unified cry under one roof for one purpose – PRESS ON!

Pastor Sabrina Wantante being one of the day’s speakers has reminded the women that God cares for them, “stop imagining God as a tough God who is always waiting to beat us up!. When you hurt, he hurts, when you cry, he cries, he feels every thing you feel”, she added.

Preaching from Hebrews 11:6 – she reminded the women to have faith as they reach to God. “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him”.
