It is said that the MPs were suspended for their continuous disruptions of House proceedings and turning a dignified parliament into a market place in total violation of rules of procedure.

The suspension of the MPs is said to have happened after there was a disruptive disagreement on whether a certain video should be played or not, the video carried content of arrest of Robert Kyagulanyi and others. Some suspended MPs said Deputy speaker was unfair while others said the suspension did not bother them at all.
