Apostle Sarah Bunjo (PhD), wife of Apostle John Bunjo, the team leaders of Christian Restoration Ministries International (CRMI) has warned that the Church in Uganda will see no transformation in communities as long as believers adopt the principles, or follow the practices of the world, which she urges are totally inconsistent with the Word of God.

While addressing Christians at the ‘Divine Encounter’ conference on June 2, Apostle Sarah Bunjo noted that when the pursuit of material things becomes our focus in life, there can be no doubt about whom we serve.

She urged that many today do not perceive what is happening in the spiritual realm because “we are too much in the world.”

“We are the salt of the world. We are there to change the world and not the world to change us,” Apostle Sarah Bunjo said.

“God called us to rebuild the broken world. To put back the brick that was missing. In today’s church, the supernatural is missing, that is why we are having counterfeits,” she continued.

Apostle Sarah Bunjo explained how many Church leaders today are desperate to win people with just about everything except the Gospel, the Bible, and a covenant commitment to the Holy Spirit.

She warned that for this cause, some Christians in churches today are so scripturally illiterate.

“There is a lot of gimmicks in church today. The bible says in the book of Hosea – the problem is with the priest. You have not taught my people the truth. I feel the message we are saying out today is not what our Lord sent us out to preach. What we know about Jesus is not true. Lamentations 3:40 says; Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord

“I am asking the church to examine itself today. If you say nothing went wrong in our generation, you are blinded. I don’t think we are living in the supernatural, because the supernatural gives us power to overcome what humanly we cannot overcome.

“If there is any problem, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, we can forgive every sin. If Jesus managed to forgive us, what can we fail to forgive? When Jesus gathered people, we fed them, he taught them. Where are the teachings of Jesus today? Where are the beatitudes of Jesus?,” she said.

Apostle Sarah Bunjo noted that hardly do preachers talk about righteous living in Churches today.

“Our hedge of protection is righteousness and holiness. When this is broken away, that is why serpents are in church. There is a lot of hatred in church. There is no fear of God. People no longer fear the anointing. They don’t know that when Miriam [spoke ill and rebelled] against Moses, she was punished with leprosy.

“This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it – Jeremiah 6:16,” she said.
