The 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup Group stage will climax on Sunday, 7th September with match-day 10 played at various venues.

Four teams have already booked their slots in the quarterfinals of the prestigious Buganda Kingdom organized football competition.

Buweekula from Masengere Group, Buluuli from Bulange along with Kyaggwe and Ssingo both from Muganzirwazza Group are the four teams into the last eight.

Mawokota, Kyaddondo, Bugerere, Ssese, Kkooki and Busujju are tussling it for quarterfinal slots in their respective groups.

Bulange Group which has three former champions in Buddu, Gomba and Busiro out is set for an exciting climax to the group stage.

Buluuli currently leading the Group with 16 points are surely into the last eight but must beat already eliminated Gomba to prevail as table leaders.

Busujju with 15 points need to maximize points against last year’s winners Buddu to secure a place in the last eight. A draw will also be enough to send them into the quarterfinals.

Ssese also with 15 points are will be in the haunt for three points at Busiro to progress to the quarterfinal stage of this year’s event.

Buweekula have already made it to the final eight as Masengere Group leaders and will be aiming to end Kyaddondo’s hopes of a quarterfinal berth.

Kyaddondo with 12 points must win at already qualified Buweekula and pray Bugerere who battle Bulemeezi stumble on the final day of the Group campaign.

Bugerere with 14 points are away to Bulemeezi and need victory to seal a historic quarterfinal slot.

In the same Group three time champions Mawokota travel to already eliminated Buvuma. With 15 points, Mawokots who last won the event in 2013 need victory to finish as runners up in the Group but a draw will be enough to secure them a place in the quarters.

Muganzirwazza Group has already produced two quarterfinalists in leaders Kyaggwe and Ssingo who are on 18 and 15 points respectively.

Kkooki on 12 points will need to beat Kyaggwe at home to stay and pray results from other groups go their way to secure a place in the quarters.

For Kyaggwe, they need at least a draw to go in the knockout phase as table leaders. Ssingo who take on Kabula in Mityana are still in the fight with Kyaggwe on who qualifies as Group leaders.

Possible quaterfinal draws in the masaza

Ssingo have their place in the last eight already with 15 points but know victory can see them finish as table leaders in case Kyaggwe suffers defeat at Kkooki.
