Despite earning a 1-0 away to Namibia’s African Stars on Friday, Vipers SC coach Jacky Ivan Minnaert has warned that there is everything to play for in the return leg.
Hilary Mukundane’s first half early strike was enough for the league champions to leave Cape Town with a slim advantage and will now need to avoid defeat to progress to the next round.
Minnaert hailed the team’s preparations for the victory although he admits it would have been better score line with the chances created.

“We were well prepared and managed the second half well,” Minnaert said after Friday’s game in Cape Town.
“We even had chances to score (more). But 1-0 isn’t a big advantage and it’s all to play for next week in Kitende.”
In case the Venoms get past the Namibian side, they will face the aggregate winner between Zambia’s Power Dynamos and Ivory Coast’s ASEC Mimosas.
