Authorities in Kisoro District have detained two men accused of posing as pastors and engaging in inappropriate activities during church gatherings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspects, identified as Gadina Tuyisenge, 24, and Brian Ndizeye, 25, lead the Jerusalem Church in Kasemisego village, Nyakinama Sub-County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Assistant Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Vallence Hagumimana, his office was alerted by residents who reported unusual noises and suspicious activity coming from the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
District officials, including RDC John Nizeyimana, visited the premises and found a closed-door prayer session under way. They say they were shocked to witness congregants behaving in what they described as an \u201cimproper and disorderly manner.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two leaders were immediately handed over to Kisoro Central Police Station for further questioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ASP Alex Tumuheirwe, the Officer-in-Charge, confirmed that investigations were ongoing, promising a thorough inquiry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When asked about the allegations, Tuyisenge and Ndizeye admitted to leading the church, insisting they had been \u201cperforming miracles\u201d for their followers. They claimed the closed-door session was simply meant to shield worshippers from the rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both men remain in police custody as investigations continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
