After a shaky start to the 2025\/26 FUFA Big League campaign, Onduparaka FC and Wakiso Giants FC reignited their seasons with vital victories over the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Onduparaka, who had fallen 2-0 to Blacks Power in their opening fixture, made amends in front of their passionate Arua faithful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Playing at the iconic Greenlight Stadium, the Caterpillars edged Iganga United 1-0 courtesy of substitute Eric Junior Akol, who came off the bench to slot home the decisive goal two minutes past the hour mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Wakiso Giants FC stung by a 3-2 defeat to debutants Young Elephants last week, rediscovered their rhythm with a comfortable 2-0 win against Kiyinda Boys FC in Gayaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Team captain Duncan Sseninde opened the scoring before super-sub Samuel Nsubuga sealed the result, handing the Purple Sharks their first three points of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elsewhere, Soltilo Bright Stars demonstrated resilience after rallying from two goals down to share spoils with CATDA FC in a pulsating 2-2 draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First-half goals from Kevin Tevin Kyeyune and Isaac Kiberu put CATDA in control, but Bright Stars roared back through Opio and Arafat, ensuring an even outcome in the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Kabale, Kigezi HomeBoyz and Kaaro Karungi settled for a 1-1 stalemate, while Bunyaruguru FC secured a narrow 1-0 triumph over Kataka FC, courtesy of a well-taken strike that made the difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Mbale Municipal Stadium, the clash between Mbale Heroes FC and Paidha Black Angels FC was cut short by torrential rain in the 65th minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hosts were leading 1-0, thanks to Akram Muzanyi\u2019s first-half penalty, and the remaining minutes will be completed on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier in the week, Nebbi Central FC had thumped Iganga United FC 4-1 on Thursday, setting the tone for a competitive second matchday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
