State house monitoring  unit arrested the Mulago Referral Hospital ED on Monday  for failing to honor summons for questioning by the unit.

The unit under Warren Namara came out to explain the reason for ED arrest on Tuesday and say they may retain him a little longer as they still need many clarifications on the matter from him.

“We have been investigating Mulago on issues of management, machinery, human resource, financial and all these things” says Namara Warren, head of state house monitoring unit.

Dr. Byarugaba is under probe for the suspected misappropriation of shs 28Billion, said to have disappeared over a period of 4 years.

The State House Monitoring Unit is an anti corruption unit formed by president Museveni to investigate corruption in the health sector.
