Bola Tinubu is at the helm of the Nigerian 25th February elections becoming the country’s next president elect.The 71 year old has taken over from an 80 year old who stepped down from office after 3 terms.
“As president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria I will discharge my duties and perform my functions honestly to the best of my ability, faithfully and in accordance with the constitution.” Tinubu said in alive broadcast from the Eagle Square in Abuja – the capital of Nigeria.
Foreign leaders representing at the function include; Cyril Ramaphosa- South Africa, Paul Kagame – Rwanda, Nana Akufo-Addo- Ghana and representatives from the US and Britain.
President Bola gunned 8.8 million votes, the highest, beating opposition leaders in the race, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi. Atiku who came 2nd and Peter who came 3rd are contesting the election results in court claiming fraud.
