The Chief justice of Uganda, Alphonso Owinyi Dollo has appeared before the Buganda kingdom officials led by Prime minister of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga to deliver an apology.

Owinyi-Dollo earlier this week issued a written apology for the references he made about the kingdom that were widely condemned as tribal.

He apologized  to the Monarch for the statements issued saying; “I hereby unequivocally , unreservedly , and of my free volition, wholly retract that references and also hereby tender my apology to his majesty, the Kabaka” , he said.

While speaking at the vigil of fallen Speaker Jacob Oulanyah at the deceased’s home in Muyenga, chief justice Owinyo Dollo said:

” But you who were demonstrating ….your ethnic leader was transported in a presidential jet to Germany using  private funds he was not entitled… you did not demonstrate. Is it because Oulanyah is an Acholi?, Is it because Oulanyah doesn’t speak your language? Only a wicked person can fight a person fighting for his life.”

The Kabaka of Buganda had been flown to Germany for treatment in August following a terrible allergic reaction.
