Gerald Aseera, identified as a news anchor with Kings Broadcasting Services; Kings Fm 93.6 was shot dead in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

It is reported that Gerald was shot in the chest by a private security guard at a soda depot in Masindi town.

Police in Masindi are investigating circumstances under which the journalist was shot and killed.

The news anchor died shortly after being rushed to Masindi general Hospital.
