The integrated science text books for primary six pupils are to be investigated to decide whether content is age appropriate. The minister of state for education and sports – Dr. Joyce Moriku while presenting a ministerial statement on the inappropriate content informed the plenary sitting that a committee of experts had been set up to analyze the text book and the recommendations from the committee will be immediately acted upon.

The issue of inappropriateness of the content in the text book was raised by the Amuru district representative, Hon. Akello Lucy. The minister of state for education informed the members that the curriculum however is designed to create awareness among learners on issues affecting their health especially reproductive health.
