Mr. Javason Kamugisha , Director Legal Services and Mr. Davis Malowa, Director of Human Resource whose contracts were to run for the next 5 years up to 2026 were terminated.

The two were terminated by the appointments board in a special sitting on May 04th with no actual reason in the dismissal letters.

The Makerere University Staff Appeal Tribunal decided not to advertise the vacant positions until the grievances of those dismissed are resolved.

Until the tribunal is ready and able to handle the matter and have a working decision, the vacant positions will not be advertised.

The matter was adjourned to June 1.
