Namubiru, a nurse that was accused and convicted of criminal negligence in 2013 has succumbed to Kidney failure.
She was first admitted to Mild May hospital on Thursday and after transferred to Kiruddu hospital when her situation worsened were she breathed her last on Saturday-says Director of International Community of Women living with HIV/Aids in East Africa (ICWLEA) , Ms. Lillian Mworeko.
In 2013, Namubiru was convicted of criminal negligence involving exposure to HIV and sentenced to 3 years in prison.
Namubiru who was HIV positive herself maintained that she had accidently pricked herself with a needle she then used to inject the child.
