One dead, Five in critical condition after police vehicle accidentally knocked NUP supporters

In a statement issued by the police spokesperson, SP Patrick Onyango, One person has died from Kawolo Hospital as a result of an earlier accident that happened today at Mayangayanga along Nagoje Road. The accident that happened at around 1110 hours, involved a police motor vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser, and two civilian owned motorcycles.

In a statement issued by the police spokesperson, SP Patrick Onyango, One person has died from Kawolo Hospital as a result of an earlier accident that happened today at Mayangayanga along Nagoje Road.

The accident that happened at around 1110 hours, involved a police motor vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser, and two civilian owned motorcycles. One motorcycle registration number is UDR 448C Bajaj red in colour while the registration of the other wasn’t identified.

The two motorcycle riders were riding carelessly and each was carrying two passengers. Police further states

It’s said that as the two riders were riding their motorcycles, one lost control of his motorcycle and knocked the other. The riders and passengers fell in the middle of the road and were knocked by a police car.

One victim was rushed to Kawolo Hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he has passed on.

The deceased has been identified as Jonathan Ssempala, a 28-year-old.

In related developments, there are five people who sustained injuries when the vehicle they were in overturned.

Vincent Ssempijja, 18, is still admitted at Kawolo Hospital while the others have been referred to Mulago Referral Hospital.

They are Moses Ssentongo, 24, Steven Ssebuliba, 30, Robert Kigozi, 22, and Medi Ssebadeki. All are residents of Nakifuma, Mukono District.

    I was looking at your website and noticed it appears the word "Maama" is spelled wrong. I had similar problems on my site until someone mentioned it to me and I also now use software from SpellPerfect.com to keep my site error free.

      Context is that Maama – is spelt this way in bantu dialects to respectfully mean Mother
