Sarduni Carrasco Sumaya, a 39 year old Spanish journalist died with her Ugandan driver Thomas Mugisha in a motor accident at Chopelwo valley along Kampala -Gulu highway -Kiryandongo district.

The motor accident happened at about 8:30 pm in a head on collision with a Fuso truck. The two died on spot, the truck driver however escaped the scene of crime.

Sumaya was also identified as a member of the International Press Association of Uganda.
