Uganda People Congress has tasked government to come up with a clear road map on how the education system is going to be revived following recent closures in a bid to curb the spread of COVID 19 in the country.

The Party spokesperson Arach Oyat Sharon revealed that the newly tabled plan targeting vaccination of all students has limited chances in terms of implementation at a time when the country is facing a challenge of vaccine nationalism to inoculate its initial target of 21m with a view that the government should prioritize mass testing in students and vaccination on the side teachers.

Sharon Arach also reminded the government to fulfill its pledges to certain groups affected by COVID 19 measures through stimulus packages especially the 20bn allocated to teachers in private schools as well as coming with a mutual understanding with the landlords to bridge the overwhelming gap faced by the business fraternity.
