Huda Hussein, the Resident Capital City Commissioner of Kampala has given the city street preachers an ultimatum of 30 days to leave the streets.

He says that this is to build a nicer, organized city and in his own words, “no room for un seriousness.”

This new development was communicated while he was addressing journalists at the Uganda media center where he presented what he called the ‘seven new measures’ which aim at sanitizing Kampala City.

“All pastors , vendors, children, beggars among other disorganized groups should leave the city” – Hussein said.

Various social media reactions flooded the media from both the street preachers and their supporters insisting it is the work of God, together with those also against the idea of street preaching claiming it has been long overdue.
