South West airlines is not operating from Hilo International because of the eruption – the airline announced. it also reported cancelling five flights to and from Honolulu.
“People with respiratory illnesses should remain indoors to avoid inhaling the ash particles and anyone outside should cover their mouth and nose with mask or cloth” -Honolulu Office warned.
