Chelsea Fc is up for sale to the highest bidder even as rumors have it that the Russian born owner is selling it at a minimum of 2.5 billion dollars.

Abramovich Roman is a politician, business man and the the owner of the big English club Chelsea FC since about 2003. Since he bought the club, Chelsea has won 18 trophies, two champions league titles, five premier league championships, and most recently – club world cup.

The 55 year old bought the club from Ken Bates who later bought Leeds  United. According to Forbes in 2019, Roman is the 2nd richest person in Israel , 11th richest in Russia, and the richest in Portugal.

Reports have it that the politician is putting up club for sale amid speculation regarding his status in the UK and potential sanctions. The Russian born is selling the club to reduce his presence in western Europe to prevent possible sanctions on the club.

Abramovich is known to be friends with the Russian president Vladimir Putin and Russian former president Boris Yetsin.
