Here at Gugudde TV, we want to join the Federation of Uganda Football Association to celebrate Hon. Moses Magogo Hassim.

The FUFA president was born in Kamuli district Eastern Uganda on the 08th of November, 1976 to Mr. and Mrs. Nkinda.

After long service in different arms of Ugandan football like; chairman of futsal and beach soccer committee,

FIFA Football Administration & Management Instructor among other roles.

In 2013, Moses Magogo was elected as FUFA president succeeding Lawrence Mulindwa in August 2013.

After serving a 4 year term, he was re-elected in 2017 for another 4 year term in the presidency of the federation.

You may see the title honorable on the president and wonder but Moses Magogo was on 14th January, 2021 voted  as member of parliament for Budiope East in Buyende district, Eastern Uganda.

Hon. Moses Magogo as president of FUFA since 2013, is credited for many innovations in the federation like;

The FUFA Juniors League (started with U-17 but now U-19).
The FUFA Women Elite League in 2014.
The Super8 Cup tournament that attracts the top 6 finishers in the League and new comers form the FUFA Big league.

During his term since 2013 to date;
Uganda hosted the first ever CAF Standing Committee meeting (Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee in Entebbe).
Uganda was named hosts of the AFCON Beach soccer 2020.
Attracted sponsorships to football for National teams and Clubs-from Government and Corporate companies.
Uganda qualified for three AFCON Finals (Uganda Cranes-Gabon 2017, Egypt 2019) and (National U-17 in Tanzania 2019)
Uganda Cranes qualified from the group stages of the AFCON Finals (Egypt) for the first time since 1978.
Uganda Cranes got its highest world rankings at 62nd as released by FIFA in 2016.

 

The man’s success story still travels , until then; HAPPY BIRTHDAY Hon. Moses Magogo Hassim.
