After the most recent league concluded in May, the next FUFA Women’s Super League for the 2021/2022 season was scheduled for August, this year, yet it never came to be.
The #COVID-19 situation has by far affected Sport all over the world and Uganda is not an exception.
The Uganda Football Federation was forced to cancel the awaited league in respect to the government SOPs for reasons known to us all including protection of the players.
Having Lady Doves as the current champions of the FUFU women’s Super League, the rest of the teams lined up can not seem to wait to grab this year’s championship.
The struggle for this year’s championship is among 10 clubs – the winner is one.
The competing clubs include; Lady Doves, Kawempe Muslim LFC, Uganda Martyrs LWFC, Rines SS WFC, She Maroons, Kampala Queens, Olila High school, UCU Lady Cardinals, Tooro Queens, She Corporates.
Because it is football, all one can do is wait.
FUFA has set 14th November 2021 as the the tentative date for the return of FUFA Women’s Super League 2021/2022 season.
Cheers FUFA, WE CAN NOT WAIT!
