Two time Masaza Cup winning Captain Edward Satulo has openly come out to promise joy to the fans and as well, to unfold his immediate target after completing his move to Wakiso Giants.
” I feel so happy that have joined a team like Wakiso which gives platform to young players. I will give in all l can for the club’s success. And to the clubs’ very ambitious fans, l promise them happiness, though in every journey we anticipate ups and downs. Satulo told Gugudde TV in exclusive interview.
” My immediate target is, like any other player, l want to play regular football in the first eleven and for the coming seasons, am looking at becoming professional and play for the national team.” He added.
The 20 year old central defender, that won the prestigious Buganda Masaza Cup tournament in 2017 and 2018 with Gomba and Ssingo respectively, believes, he is joining a club that will help him develop more as a player.
” It’s a big step in my career and it couldn’t come at a better time and club. I have won everything in Masaza Cup and feel ready for the challenge in the top division.
“I am still learning and believe am at the right place to continue my development as a player at an ambitious young club like Giants.
“I know what a tough challenge it is but with the coaches, teammates and fans behind the team, I will do well.” He told the Club website.
Club manager Douglas Bamweyana said: “Satulo is a talented young defender with all the qualities to quickly become a great player for this club. He has all the attributes that a centre-back needs: physicality, tactical intelligence and technical quality and is ready to learn.”
Wakiso Giants signed the lanky central defender on a three year deal that will see the highly rated young star at club until 2023 with an option for extension for a further year.
The Masaza Cup graduate signs from Wobulenzi FC but has previously played for Gomba and Ssingo in the annual Masaza Cup tournament and Nkumba University.
