The Democratic Republic of Congo has officially joined the East African Community which has since consisted of six member states making DR. Congo the 7th. The East African heads of state approved the admission of DR. Congo into the Community during the 19th extraordinary Summit meeting on Tuesday. DR. Congo as early as June 2019
