Kampala Queens bounced back from a dissapointing opener loss in the hands of Kenya Police Bullets to thrash Denden FC 7-nil at Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi

Knowing its only a win that could keep them in the tournament, Kampala Queens started the game with great intend and thirst for goal.

Their first goal came in the 4th minute courtesy of Kamiyati Naigaga . 4 minutes later Tourist Lema Tone would double Kampala Queens lead.At the half hour mark Peace Muduwa made it three for the Queens to put them in a comfortable lead.

The teams went to recess at 3-nil with Kampala Queens firmly in control of the game.

In the second half Kampala Queens Peace Muduwa scored the second in the 46th minute and in quick succession a minute later Tourist Lema made her brace too. Kayita got her brace in the 55th minute to make it 6-0.

In the 77th minute Zaituna Namaganda pounced on a lose ball to make it 7 for Kampala Queens.

Kampala Queens assistant coach Sharon Kizza was in all praise of her team, who delivered plenty of goals as they needed for a better goal difference.

Eritrea’s Denden FC Coach shared that he didn’t expect it would be such a difficult match but he is happy the progress in Eritrean Women Football noting that it is the first time a Women Club from Eritrea gets to participate in an international tournament

Kampala Queens now sit second in Group A behind Kenya Police Bullets all with 3 points the latter topping courtesy of head to head advantage and with a game in hand.

The winner of Group A faces the runner up in group C while Group B leader faces the best loser among Group A, B and C.
